Bayesian versus Frequentist Stats

Hi, can someone please explain the fundamental difference between the two. Also, which part of what we have discussed till now was Frequentist and which was Bayesian. Thanks…

Hi Anshuman,

The fundamental difference is in philosophy of the two methods.

From the frequentist point of view, any measurement is an approximation of the true value

From a bayesian point of view, There is no true value of any measurement, just different possible values, each with a probability
